a picture of the kit is now available and will be $59.99 when released within the next few weeks (by the end of September)

hmmm, I wonder how much better it will fit than my Metra... Are you getting one schwartz1?

 

Well the Scosche looks good but $60 vs. a $2 trim ring and the existing USDM piece is a no brainer to me. None of these aftermarket kits look even comparible to the USDM kit. I guess that's expected though.

Free your mind people. It took me two months but I now realize for the first time in my life that I don't need an aftermarket kit.

I have the Pioneer AVIC F900BT, but its very buggy, and I decided to sell it
the Metra kit I have is already warped.

I just put my Rockford Fosgate Nav back in, gotta get my amp re-wired though

I will take pictures and post here when I get the Alpine+Scosche kit

 

well im an electronics installer and I work with a lot of Scosche kits and Metra kits, and IMO stick with the Metra ones, wait untill they have it down packed and get it. A lot of the Schosche dash kits that I have worked with have a tendency to fall apart.

 

The Alpine IVA-W505 looks nice but I want a single din that flips out so its less appealing to thieves, at least at first. Maybe the Alpine IVA-D106

 

i think you might be surprised by the quality of SOME of the scosche kits. They have been getting much better recently.

The edges of the kit def match the dash better than my Metra kit, but I'm not a fan of the overhang where it meets the long trim piece of the car... maybe I'll just have to wait for the revised Metra, whenever that comes out.

 

It looks like both kits have some issues. The Metra doesn't fit very well across the top and the Scosche has a huge overhang on the bottom.
