Love my V1 - arrows are +++++

and while many complain that it overly falses, you can tune it so to speak. The only X in my area are the suppermarket/drugstore doors so I have X turned off.

I have the 8500 x50 and have deffinately saved well over the cost of the device in dodged tickets. Love it for the price I paid.

V1 I had one for a good moment. saved me a few times. Plus if you have the most updated model woo you are set! lol sucks though you have to pay for updates for it. =/ I think.

I went with a 9500ix. I hadn't had a detector in many years and I'm really impressed with the anti-falsing based on GPS and intelligent muting. It use to be hard to live with a radar detector on but not anymore.

i bought the 8500 and got a ticket the first week i had it. i sold that car not too long after and never installed the radar in the new car and i havent gotten a ticket since (knock on wood). radars are definitely not fail safe. if these guys gun u or use laser then u r screwed regardless i guess. i might sell my 8500 if anyone is interested

Cobra= Crap Bels are ok but if they get into the sunlight they tend to fry or malfuntion. I have been looking at getting a new radar I think the v1 is the way to go. Does anyone have the stealth kit with the little black box. If so did you see any decrease in sensitivity or signal strength

i am using a 8500 X50 mounted under my rearview but i use the remote display down low on my dash so that there is nothing that can be seen blinking through the rear window. since it is mounted down there anyway i just tapped into the cig lighter wire for power.

i have the 8500 X50 and i have it mounted on the bottom left hand corner just above the dash. Its just below our inspection sticker position and it works great. I have been able to pick up radar that is behind me and in my old car I had it installed there as well with no issues...

i have the 8500 and since its illegal where i live, i mount it in the bottom left corner of my windshield/dashboard and run the cord over the steering wheel into the cigarette outlet. works well. city/auto/highway modes for different sensitivities. got it for 275$ at best buy in dec 08. still works well.
