well the cops here apparently have 'radar detector...detectors' but i have yet to get pulled over.
and during the day you could see it but unless you look hard and are sitting next to me you cant tell its radar.
but at night i set it to its dimmer settings to where the display isnt so bright.

They are illegal only in VA and DC and military bases. illegal in all commercial vehicles over 10K lbs as well. If you don't qualify for any of those conditions, you're fine. The most that will happen is that the cop will see it and think to himself "smart-a$$" and give you crap. But that's about it.

Yeah, but they're in use mostly in VA and DC only. Most other states just use them to target the Commercial vehicles.

There is a Beltronics model that is completely immune to all RDDs. But the V1 arrows are simply amazing. I lost mine, I am betting it was the Mitsu dealer. Nobody else worked on the car when I lost it. I have mellowed down a lot though over the years, don't think I need it anymore.

Same here, I pulled it out of my IX but haven't yet installed it on my X. I may just hold off and only use it on roadtrips and club cruises rather than hard-wire it in again.

cobra has saved me hundreds of times, I've never had a ticket in my evo. Not saying the V isn't better, but its not "useless"
