Radar detector

Guys,

I have searched and couldnt find anything specfic. I need a radar detector. I have found the hardware I want, but I just wanted to ask if anybody has theirs hardwired?

If so how did you run the wires? I was just curious because of the airbag in the A-pillar and didnt know if it was possible to run it in that direction.

Thanks for any help

I have one that i mounted under the review mirror and powered directly from the mirror using this:
http://www.amazon.com/PerformancePackage-Mirror-Beltronics-Radar-Detectors/dp/B00RA38YIK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1450801319&sr=8-4&keywords=radar+hardwire http://www.amazon.com/PerformancePackage-Mirror-Beltronics-Radar-Detectors/dp/B00RA38YIK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1450801319&sr=8-4&keywords=radar+hardwire

Just push the 2 pins into the back of the mirror connector(finding power and ground obv). It turns on and off with the vehicle

I think you have the same OS as me(2015 se awd).....you are sure that there is no cable running to the back of the mirror?

I hardwired my dashcam to the cigarette lighter fuse. It will be probably the same for your radar detector.

Reason i picked cig. Lighter fuse because it turn on when ignition on and it will turn off when ignition off

2015 SE, from what I understand the auto dimming mirror is an option, but not standard. There is a small notch on the very edge of the headliner. I am assuming that would be where the factory wire would be if I had the option.

I have both my dash cam and my radar detector hard wired to me cigarette lighter. I run my wires in my a-pillar but I have positioned the wires to be forward of the airbag, closer to the windshield to avoid them being in the way. There was plenty of room for it.
