Is this car less noisy on highway than Evo 8/9 ?

Does anybody know if the Evo X is quieter than the Evo 8/9 at around 70mph cruising speeds?

Road and Track has db figures for the X but I can't find any for the Evo 8/9 to compare to.

it depends on the mods on both cars. Stock to stock, the X is quieter (the MR is a touch quieter than the GSR on the X due to some extra sound deadening, but not enough to really notice).

Now once you throw on exhaust, intake, test pipe, then things get loud on both

We took my stock GSR on a highway trip and there's a bit of a drone between 75-85 (depending on the road) but it's not fatiguing to us.

At 70mph in the GSR, there is less noise and it is pretty quiet. At 80mph it does drone as mentioned. 85+ it goes back to normal again.

I traded my 03 VIII for a X MR. It is definitely quieter at all speeds. This is stock vs stock. The MR's exhaust is purrs louder, but everything else is so quiet.
