Ipod plug in for EVO X

Does anyone know if the Ipod plug-in that you can get from Mitsubishi will charge the Ipod as well as play through it

No, it's just the Auxilary Cable. Sucks

If it's just an aux cable like I think it is, it won't charge you're iPod. It just plugs into the headphone jack, so any mP3 player would work too. Also, don't buy the cable from them, they'd want like $40, you can buy one from Radioshack for $10 or less.

^ Exactly my opinion on that too. It's not like you can store dvds in the system, you can only play them. So what's going to go on there, music? If you have an iPod, like many people do, you already have way over 30 GB of storage (I have 160). It's a complete waste of $ in my opinion.

would there be an easy way to get my music on the 30 gigs of space without having to burn everything to cd. I wish that I could just use that plug(i dont know if anyone else noticed but when you are putting in a cd/dvd there is a plug on the bottom) plug my computer into that and transfer everything over. it would make it REAL simple

the next time you are getting ready to put in a cd or dvd and you have te deck "open".... look on the bottom of the screen on the drivers side. There is a plug there. dont really know what it is used for but it is there.

i know what plug you are talking about... ive also been wondering what that does. ive looked through the book that the nav system comes with and so far i cant find any information about that plug or how to get stuff on the media server.

ive only played mp3 from cdr and i tried to see if it could play mp3 from dvdr, but it wont. but neither option does anything when i switch to media server. i need to try and put a cda/wav format cd in to see if the media server will do something with that.

i have an iphone, but not an ipod. i dont really see the need for an ipod and dont want to get one just for the car.

If it doesn't work, you can get an adapter for it that cost between $10 & $20.
Aux cable -> adapter -> iPhone.
