Everyone is going to give you a different answer. For the most part, it's all about your personal preference.
Some people are bias towards Alpine / Pionner / JL Audio / Kicker / etc...
Your best bet is to figure out what it is you want to replace and what budget you are working with. A list of features for the headunit would start you off in the right direction (in-dash tv, double-din dvd, navigation, usb, bluetooth, etc).
As for audio components, look into what size speakers will directly fit your stock location. Coaxials will be easiest and relatively cheaper than going with a custom install or a component kit.
Once you determine what front and rear speakers you want, that will help you choose the amp. As far as power handling goes you want to match them as closely as possible and choose an amp that is reliable and has the technology and features to make it worth the $ you are spending (ex. JL Audio V2 amps or HD amps, Alpine PDX amps).
As for subwoofer. That can be determined by how much trunk space you are willing to sacrifice, what type of music you listen to, how many sub woofers you would like, how big of a box/enclosure it/they will require.
As for sub amp. That will be determined once you decide what sub to pick and again referring to an amp that is good quality (ex. JL Audio, Alpine, etc).
hhThanks in advance,
Nick
