Hands free iphone cheap alternative-read here
Well i know to buy the blue tooth setup and all that for hands free is expensive. Well heres a cheaper way. I just started using this today and i like it..This is for you that dont wana spend that kinda money. Not sure how many ppl here know about this, but i thought i do a write up so everyone knows
First purchase the iCable, its the Monster brand, you can get it at either best buy or the apple store, its about $19.99 at best buy and about $10 more at apple. First, put your radio in AUX mode, plug in the cable to the headphone jack on your iphone and the other 2 ends to the AUX connectors. Make a call, you DO NOT need to put the phone in speaker mode, callers will be able to hear you with out speaker mode. When the phone starts ringing you will hear it through the speaker. Once they pick up, you can talk and they can able to hear you loud and clear
I have my phone set in that little square place next to the cupholder and i speak with my phone set there and the callers can hear me loud and clear!!
If they complain that they hear an echo on the other end simply turn down the volume ON THE IPHONE on the side button not the radio, you can turn it down to a little more than half the squares it shows and that should take care of the echo...
This is good for those that use your iphone in ipod mode most of the time for music because when someone calls you, the phone will turn off the ipod and you will hear the call come through the speakers
The only bad thing is that you wont be able to hear the phone ring through the speakers when in Sirius or Cd mode..But, simply what you do is that when someone calls you, just press AUX and turn the radio volume up, thats it! Try it out guys
