I sound deadened my x too. Here's the thread with some of the info. I wish I did a before and after test like you. But the results may just have disappointed me because it was a ton of work...lol.

This thread is funny because when I'm hanging out with my gto / american muscle friends I always wish my x was louder lol. To each his own though, very informative.

 

If you want more power and noise, you should definitely exchange your exhaust for a Buschur 3" TBE ....

It shows where the extra sound deadening is in the MR. If you follow the diagram, you can add sound deadening strategically by putting it in the places that will affect the noise level the most.
