Steering-Wheel Audio Controls

Ok so the 2 "seek" buttons on the steering wheel. Whenever i use them it always searches (seek) to the next station. How can I use them as preset buttons? Where as it will jump to each of my 6 set presets?

Thanks

You're talking on the AM/FM Radio? I haven't ever used the AM/FM radio before, but I know when I'm listening to sirius, it flips through the presets, not the individual channels (This is on the MMCS)

Strange... you would think it would operate the same in radio vs sat radio.

If I were to get a new head unit would the steering-wheel controls still work?

Depends on the unit. Generally speaking it is usually a roughly 150 dollar part to get it to work (as what was told to me by the stereo shop here, who I trust completely) and most new/mainstream head-units will work after this extra part.

Also, have you looked in your user manual for the answer to your original question?

Ya just checked the manual, it appears there is no way to use the steering wheel controls with presets which makes it worthless to me. Oh well, thats not why I bought the car anyway.
