price per performance it is one of the best. it however doesn't have the new gps enabled traffic cam feature. I wouldn't say it is as good at the $500 top of the line models as it is <$300 but i can verify it works very well after this past weekends road trip and 2 separate instanced this evening. I was hesitant to get the bel sti or escort 9500 becuase of the price but if i was going to do this i would get one of those 2 due to thier ability to beat RDDs. i am constantly toggling mine on/off

as an update, the detector is performing flawlessly in its location and has saved me on several occasions especially one evening on a wide open road with no one around!

I was concerned based on the location i would lose some sensitivity but that has not been the case.
