Kenwood DNX9140 :D

ahh, finally after months of searching i found the perfect system for me. i highly recommend this to anyone who wants to put an aftermarket double-din nav/audio unit... it even plays dvds. Next year you will be able to watch tv on this unit somehow... but anyways i got some pictures but dont judge me on my photography work its hard to take pictures in your garage

hard to capture a picture of the microphone for voice commands/telephone. but you dont really need to speak into the mic just talk normally in the car and it will reconize it.. its great.

last picture is the button for voice commands.

you just press the button and say some commands that it has memorized and it'll do it. i mean the only time i had problems with it is when the windows were open under an underpass LOL but it works pretty well

i guess it looks cheap because of my poor photography skills, but trust me it wasn't or isn't cheap -_-

This is a very nice unit...

If I'm not mistaken this unit also has relay outputs on the back that alllow you to control an external relay to do whatever you want... open garage door, window rollup, etc... all from a touch of a button on your headunit..

Very nice. I have been waiting to get my pricing on that unit. And yes you are correct. It can control your windows, garage door and many other things.

The screen on all Kenwood units are very nice. Which dash kit did you go with?

One thing I always loved about Kenwood higher end units.... reverse tilt... it's the only unit I've ever seen with it. Not all the kenwoods have it but the higher end models will have a reverse screen tilt feature that allow you to compensate for viewing angle... so instead of tilting or angling up it can tilt or angle down if your radio it high up in the dash... I think this might be helpful for the new lancers because the radio is high up in the dash and this could help with glare.

curious, why didn't you use the oem rockford trim? the aftermarket trim looks cheap.

The OEM Rockford trim is wider than a standard double din. If you use this you end up having to make your own filler pieces for either side of the radio to fill in the big holes on either side.

Best option is the JDM piece for a standard dual din, but it's like $230 or something. Scosche is $35. I'm not sure what his Metra one cost.

put the mic where the oem mic would be, inside the dome light housing.
