AUX input on MR MMCS
AUX input on MR MMCS
i have an MR with MMCS and Navi. I do not have an aux input behind the ashtray. The only input i can see is on the face plate which becomes visible when you push "OPEN", and when closed it does not seem like you can plug anything there without blocking the closing mechanism. Do i need the aux kit from the dealer or is that really the aux input for MRs?

^ Whoa, the trifecta. I suppose that's one way to raise your post count.
On topic, there should be an aux flap in the cubby hold behind the ash tray, especially if you have the tech package on your MR. If there isn't one, I would head back to the dealer to find out why you got hosed.

my connection was flimsy so it reloaded the page three times hence the triple post. There is no connection no where near the ashtray. I have the 30 gig harddrive and Navi and bluetooth in my MR. There is a jack on the swivel panel but that does not look useable to me. So they did not install the aux input as i understand.....

The MR w/ Navi option (factory installed) should in the cubby below the climate knobs, have against the back wall a little flap which when raised has the AUX jacks for the Navi... if you don't have it...
1) dealer installed (the VIN # should inidcate the trim package from the factory... just because the window sticker says its an option doesn't mean it wasn't added by the dearler)
2) the factory forgot to install it <--- highly unlikely
I would go to the dealer where you bough it and have them install it, you could call mitsu first and see if your car came with a navi from the factory, basicly it sounds to me like the dealer did an upgrade and didn't install the AUX jax, if the cubby doesn't have the flap it sounds to me like they took a non-navi system and added the Navi.

Hey guy's all that stuff is installed at the Port of Baltimore, they come without everything from Factory, at least the GSR's do. I'm sure MR's come with most of their parts. Here is what I would suggest the Largest EVO Dealer in MD is Jerry's Mitsubishi in Towson, go there and Speak with DEREK Horine, he's the service dept manager, Kris Beall, or James Shultz I've bought 3 EVO's from there they will help you out they Love EVO's, I bring my beast by from time to time so they can druel on it. Ok thanks for the help. I shall try that route. Guess they never installed the aux. It kinda sux since all my music usually is in my ipod and i am tired of ripping songs in to cd's one by one. bummer they wont let you rip mp3 s to the hard disk
Lol, I don't know where the missing parts are. If this is the silver MR with aero, etc... I actually test drove the car and almost bought it.
The sales manager really rubbed me the wrong way by trying to tell me that the recaro's are an add-on. He also denied that the navi was installed post-production. I'm almost positive that any MR with factory installed Nav came with the RF system and include the video/audio inputs.
FWIW, I babied the car on the test drive (I believe I was the first to test drive it).
