And as a side note, the shifter/jammer heads should not be installed behind anything at all. I did so on my Evo because I had every police laser gun at my disposal to test it with. I also have the best and easily the 2nd most powerful laser jammer available. The radar sensor of the 9500ci, Sti-R has been tested behind plastic bumper skins with very good results. But location and vehicle bumper thickness will probably dictate how much performance is lost.

I like those videos. That's the type of stuff I love to see. Especially when another car gets in teh way, it registers speed, but nothing from the jamming vehicle.

You'd probably just be better of speeding, and hiring a good lawyer for the 4 or 5 times you get caught.
Yes, but a large enough ticket can easily add additional insurance costs. Let's say you get 2 tickets within a few months of each other. Those stay on record with most insurance companies for up to 3 years. Let's say two tickets cost $400, and they cause a $100/mo increase to your insurance. You're looking at almost 4 grand when all is said and done after 3 years. And that's just a rough example. Even if it were half that cost, that's still double what the kit costs off of ebay.

Last summer I got 3 tickets within 3 months. Grand total, about $500. Luckily, my insurance company doesn't care about my driving record, so I can get all the tickets I want without a rate increase. But I'm the minority, for sure.

Given the offset nature of our license plate (not to mention silver intercooler), I thought that additional protection may be necessary to jam the gun. LED based jammers aren't as effective as their laser diode counterparts so I wanted to mitigate chances of a punch through.

Plus rear laser attacks are much more rare.

I would recommend removing the rear laser jammer from the front - the reason is that the rear laser jammer is set to a different pulse rate that actually interferes with the front jammers reducing the overall effectiveness.
