Anyone install a Escort 9500ci yet?

I'm hardcore believer in the V1 but I just sold it because it is detectable -no go in these parts. Enter 9500ci. Please post up your install.

$1600 wow. And I thought the V1 was entirely too much to spend on a radar detector. I'm pretty interested to see if anyone has this thing installed.

I think they're the *ONLY* one to make a multiple-external-sensor one like that, which explains the huge price increase. Seems odd that no one else makes one like that.

If you get all of the above for $1600, that isn't too bad a deal. Front and rear laser shifters and an extremely concealed setup ftw!

OP, when you say the V1 is detectable, you mean that the cop can pick up on the fact that you are running one, or the fact that they are relatively bulky they can easily spot it? I wouldn't think the V1 would be putting out enough of a signal to be detected.

Yes, the Spectre can detect the V1's super heterodyne reciever just like you can detect radar. They can't pinpoint the source but an EVO is a good guess just like the police cruiser is a logical source for a radar source. Of course the V1 signal is weaker but supposedly if they can see the car they can detect the detector. The only invisible detectors are the Escort 9500xi, 9500ci, and Bel STI.

I love the V1 but can't afford detection in my part of the country.

9500ci can be had for $1000. I installed it this weekend.

Is there any interest in a write up on how to install this in an X? I'd hate to spend the time if it only interested a couple of people. I realize that the 9500ci isn't for everyone.

I'd love to see a write up, or, at the very least, just where you put stuff. The nitty gritty details would be awesome, but an overview would be nice too

Same here. I thought the V1 was already expensive enough so I got the Cobra XRS. I suppose it jams squad car's laser plus it's hidden so that's why it's that expensive. But wow $1600?
