Remote Start for 08 Outlander, same as X's?
So I'm buying my wife a remote start for her 08 Outlander with smart key, and I wanted some clarification on some things. I went to Best Buy last night, and the guy there really didn't know what he was talking about. I basically want a system that has good range(don't want the monthly bill and expense of the IPhone app.), and will not use up on of our transponders. From what I understand, you can buy an extra module from Viper that simulates the transponder so that you can remote start teh vehicle. My concern is that sometimes we leave the car running if we pull up to a 7-11 or wherever, and we don't have to worry because you can't put the car in drive without the transponder in the vehicle. Well I am worried that if this Viper module is in the car, that will not be the case anymore because the car will still get the signal from the module.
I was also looking at the OEM unit, but I wasn't sure how well it functions, and what is involved in the installation.

wonder is the '08 lancer factory remote start would work on the outlander?
