Best alarm/remote start for the Evo 10

Im looking for an alarm and remote start combo for my Evo GSR (manual...). I've looked into the the (Viper 5601 1-Way SuperCode Security and Remote Start System5102V) and found that i can pick it up for rather cheap ($200). any thoughts on that setup? any recommendations on a different set up? any reviews? any input is greatly appreciated.

Dont know much about that one but one I highly recommend is the autopage rs1100. I currently use the rs-1000 and switching to the rs-1100 soon. 1 mile range, great features, and best of all..badass 2 way remote. It's oled and has nice color and menu screen making it easier to use. Nice animations and displays. My favorite feature is the ability to set up a set start time for the mornings. I can go out every morning to my car warmed up and depending on the season, cooled off inside or warmed up. You can set it once and it will start every morning at the same time. The new rs-1100 has a smaller remote which is also a plus. I recommend you check that one out.

If your interested, check out this video describing the older model rs-1000 which I use.

This thread got me thinking about the new rs--1100 version again.
Soooo I just bought one haha. There's a seller on eBay selling them for 213 and some
Change brand new straight from the manufacture lol, that's dirt cheap compared the msrp at 320..thanks for reminding me I needed to UPDATE haha

Alot of installers will not install a remote start on a manual transmission vehicle, basically for liability purposes.

Viper 5901. 1 mile range. You can buy refurbished ones for about $200. They are nothing different than new ones. I installed one on my EVO X. If you buy the Xpresskit XK09, it makes life easier for the install too. The XK09 needs to be programmed, you need the usb tool or need to know someone with one.

Alot of installers, like me, dont install remote starters on manual cars. I dont want to be held responsible if something happens. (Unless we made some type of written agreement) But the Viper 5901 is manual transmission safe. Not all remote starters are manual trans. safe.
