IPOD hookup not working
IPOD hookup not working
I have a 2011 EVO X with the ipod connection in the glove box. But when i plug in the Ipod it reads no song. Is there a way to get this working? Because i really dont like having the component cable running through my car. My Ipod is the new touch.
Doesn't the touch have bluetooth, if so why don't you just sync it?
From what I have gathered, only 1 bluetooth connection at a time. So no phone. It should be covered under warranty. I think it would be better to control from the head unit than from the ipod. Its more friendly.

From what I've read. Mitsubishi and Apple are arguing who's fault it is. Since both are pointing fingers, I wouldn't expect a fix any time soon.
This sucks...
What I'd suggest is a flash drive for the mean time with all of your songs on it.
Also, if you're an audiophile, forget about playing over bluetooth, it compresses the bit rate even further, reducing a lot of the quality.

Hey guys, I just got my 2011 White MR (fully loaded) last night and I am having the same problems. I believe I have a 4th Gen Ipod Classic 120Gig, and my Iphone 4 doesn't work either. I have a 3G nano as well, so I may try that out now that I hear it may just be that the 4th Gens don't work. I'll let you know what happens
In the mean time, music server ftw.

The USB connection doesn't work on my '11 MR-T. I've called Mitsu and there is supposed to be a fix coming but no dates are confirmed. I just use bluetooth to listen to Pandora and the USB to charge my iPhone 4. Works for now....
Ya man, I'm in the exact same boat as you. It's not a big deal to me but it's just one of those little things I've found wrong with my '11 MR-T that makes me kind've pissed off.
When I had the stock system in my GSR, I used a USB key. Load up a folder with the music you would normally have on a playlist and tell it to shuffle. Worked great for me.
Sucks about the iPod support. I didnt have the cable installed in my car.
