I have a RA 2005 with Sun and Sound option. I want to add an ''aftermarket AUX plug'' for my iPod and at the same time keep my 6cd changer and stock radio working...

I was curiuous if this thing would work out or if you guys would have other options? (beside replacing the stock radio)

would be much easier to change to a cheap deck that has the accessory hole and plug in the SnS harness you can buy to make it work with it. my.02

i'd say just get a new headunit that has more options for the radio with an aux jack or usb port to plug in yoru ipod. the harnesses that you can get can allow for use of the cd changer and S&S system

 

you can get a wired fm modulator, which won't give you cd quality sound, but it will give you very clear sound, it will sound like the best radio station at all times whithout ever having the change the station. its basicially a modulator that goes inbetween your stereo and antenna, i install these daily at my shop.

loll, in my first post i was asking about isimple. btw, i ordered a Scosche Aux plug http://www.scosche.com/products/productID/417 am suppose to get it soon by the mail so i'll see if it works

ur right, its working perfectly!! Am really pleased with the sound quality! Now i just need to think of a good place to mount my iPod so i can always see it and change song easily since i'm ONLY using this for music in my car

 

ah, so that harness -does- allow for the 6 cd changer to work with a new head unit.
it sucks, the manual for the new sony head unit i'm waiting to install mentions nothing about adding additional cd changers. i hope it'll work. dont want to have the cd changer sitting there looking useless.
