Looks like a Gentex 50-GENK41A. They're about $170 on eBay. Takes about 15 minutes to install.

That is correct. The Gentex mirrors are OEM on many cars.

This is so very true. Why protect yourself only halfway?

I use a Cobra. Has worked well for me. I get ALOT of false readings in some areas, but right were I live and work it's flawless. I don't know if I will set it up in my SE or not, most of the speed traps where I live are around blind corners to both radar and visual range so you have to slow down regardless.

According to this site and a few others Valentine is kinda middle of the road now. Looks like the Passport 8500 is the best all around performer.

I do like the new GPS enabled radars. I think I may give my wife my passport and try to find a GPS enabled radar that performs as good as the 8500.

Probably purchasing a 9500XI after all the research. I don't really want to spend 1500 on the 9500CI.

you can never go wrong with either. used the 9500xi on my civic but now with a much faster car, I went with the 9500ci and did the install myself.

Love the V1!

What about "Mobile" police scanners? Uniden used to make the BCT-10 and I believe BCT-12....I hear they just scan to pick up nearby by signals.
Anyone have any experience with these?
V1+Scanner would be awesome.....In my opinion!

I have the passport escort with the GPS enabled. This is a must if you drive in cities at all. Eliminates almost all false alarms so your not constantly annoyed with that beeping for k or x band ever two minutes. Highly recommended

i have the 9500ci installed and i am not a radar fan at all. i had a few in my past years and hated all of them. The 9500ci is by far the most advanced radar i ever had. With its GPS and smart functions its actually a good buy if you do long distance comutes. the laser jammer even saved my *** once. its worth the money. BEST combo is the 9500ci and a V1 in the window. you still have to learn the radar and it will NOT save you if your being dumb. all and all its a great gadget and first radar i believe is worth the money. 9500ci and v1. anything you get at best buy is a dam paper weight!

i got my 9500xi at best buy.......

If your in the market, try Blinders. they are Laser radar jammers.... front set should be enough for most. the escort laser jammers are not quite as good as blinders.

radar detector and laser jammer together is awesome...... if you get a ticket with both.... you deserve to get your license taken.
