Audio upgrade

I was thinking upgrading my standard stereo to pioneer. Problem is the display/receiver i want is a AVH-P2300DVD "...doesn't meet your factory measurements. Modifications are required to install these parts." My question is has anyone installed something like this before in their EVO, and is there a lot of "modifications" that need to be done?

standard double-DIN stereo. You'll need the bracket as used by the nav system (it's called the TV bracket in the mistu parts master), wiring harness and a dash kit. Optionally you can use the SWI-PS to retain your steering wheel audio controls. Should be pretty simple.

Thanks for your input. I looked into the bracket and found it. Also any recommendations for the dash kits? I've heard horror stories about them. Is there an OEM type that fits around the TV bracket?

Heck yeah there is... Pure JDM goodness.

If the cost of this makes your heart skip a beat, go with the Scoche- it's worlds better than the Metra POS.

Idk if this helps but worth a peak. Should be the same on the evo.
