Distortion in my 'other' car!

Hi,,

Well, this is not about my Evo! In fact, the audio in it is running perfectly: 3 alpine amps + front and back MbQuart components and a 12inch sub are running a near concert everytime it's out!

I also have a Lotus Exige Cup260 and I use it off tracks so I decided to install an audio system by keeping the dashboard stock with no modifications.. (the Cup version come without any audio system at all!).

I opted for a Parrot bluetooth kit wired to an Rockford amp and a set of front/back speakers with a center sub.. The pictures show it all

The setup is amazing, the sound overall is wonderful..

However, there is distortion especially on low volume and the buzz of course goes with the engine rpm's and very annoying..

We tried everything and i wanted to ask the opinion of anyone on EvoM on how to solve this issue?

Thanks,

Wael

Sounds like interference coming through a ground wire. Try to reground the amp and see if that fixes it. If not, try regrounding the Parrot unit. Good luck.

redo the grounds and if that doesnt solve the issue , use a ground loop isolator that can be found at radio shack, it will quiet down the whine by about 50% but it will still be there.

You can also try re-routing the RCAs from the headunit to the amp. If these are near any power wires in the car, they can pick up interference.
