new owner, weird problem

i just bought my 2008 MR last week, and noticed something strange - the clock is an hour behind (i have the factory Nav).

going into settings under "System" and "Time", and selecting the "Daylight Savings Time" button fixes the time, but ....... the next time i get into the car after shutting it off, its back to being an hour behind! WTF!

i'm in the Eastern time zone, but even if i set it to "Atlantic" to make it an hour ahead (the correct time), it resets back to Eastern the next time the car is turned off and on.

am i missing something here?

Might have something to do with the GPS or Bluetooth (if connected).
In my daily driver I put in a Sony deck and for some reason the time always moves an hour behind then corrects it self all the time even after I change in manually. No idea why....

Need to do a hard reset of your system, my buddy's 09 MR did that.

thanks! i'm still under bumper to bumper warranty, but i'd feel pretty stupid going to the dealer to ask for a new Nav unit because the clock is off an hour.

...unless i could upgrade to the new Ipod-controlling unit.

one more quick question - will going into the service menu (SET + NAV buttons) and doing memory initialization be considered a "hard reset", or do i need to pull the battery cables and wait a bit?
