Different radio

I was wondering if instead of paying 800-1200 bucks for the mitsu oem stock nav system if it is possible to put like a pioneer or some other kind of nav system in there? i figure it is in some way it is but i dont wanna go cutting wires an ****. rather there be a jumper harness or something to make it easier. if not then looks like i will keep saving.
