Removing the OEM Siruis receiver?
Has anyone removed it without any problems? Ill never use it again, and id like to remove it. Im just wondering if there would be any battery drainage from doing it.
Thanks.
Thanks.

No idea if you'd have any problems or battery drainage (though I kinda doubt it)..
But, I think the sat module is pretty small and probably doesn't weigh much at all. I can't really see you gaining any space or shedding any weight, if that's what you're after, and I'd think that having the Sirius option might help resale value by a few bucks down the road.

If you're worried about it being a drain on the battery, pull your glove box, and unplug the module (behind the glove box on the right hand side). Make certain you tape up the connectors so it does not inadvertently short against anything.

Only worth someone who had the Sirius module installed originally and needs a new interface box. There are two antenna/harness combos depending on the original options in the car. If a car did not have Sirius from the factory, installing it after-the-fact can be an ordeal.

^ I second this motion.. quality is horrible.. sorry bit off topic.. but not sure if anyone knew that if you have the Nav.. you can entertain your passangers by using your android phone or iphone ipad type device with net flix installed. you pass the audio over to the blue tooth. sound quality is pretty darn close to CD quality. you can also do the same with Sky.fm or Di.fm passing the audio over from your device to your onboard blue tooth. Quality music and a fraction of the price that serious charges.
