Do you drive your car in the winter or snow? I leave mine off, but don't drive it in the salt/snow/slush/mud

I took my undertray off the very first time I installed something that needed it to be removed. It's been off for about a year now. If I ever sell my car I might put it back on, otherwise it's staying off for good. My car has only seen snow once with it off, and hopefully never again.

It doesn't just protect the engine/drivetrain. The undertray directs air into the radiator. it also directs air under the car, creating downforce at speed.

Highly debated subject....

My thoughts:

The undertray is part of the front Aerodynamic package. There are definitely things that it helps with, as well as with holding the front bumper properly inplace and for reinforcement. Also, sure it causes problems when installing things, but it also keeps rocks and other stuff from banging up into engine componets.

I've seen an Evo with, and without it, and the engine bay of the one without it, was HORRIBLY more dirty and more "used" looking.

Yes, but I'd rather have to replace the oil filter due to a dent in it, than a dent in my Tranny or something more vital.

Keep it. No point taking the risk of having to spend money to fix something that could have been avoided.

Yeah... it's like wearing those cheap plastic helmets for caving. They won't protect you from a 50-foot fall, but they'll keep you safe from a jagged rock edge that would normaly impale your delicate head-meat

I agree, it would stay much cleaner with it on, <<<IGNORE_DOUBLE POST!
