Driving around it still seems to be on the high side but not 100% sure.

So I ended up using ghozt's writeup(attached) for the most part ... Thank You ghozt ... I did however use a slightly different route through the firewall ... see Install[1].pdf ... using both of these documents I was able to get everything up and running in about 1.5 hours and this is my first time installing any Boost Gauge.

I tapped fuse#18 using one of the Fuse Taps that you can buy directly from gtboostgauge.com and used 3m adhesive to stick the sender unit nicely behind the heat vent. Used 4mm tubing that I bought from boostcontroller.com.

I couldn't be happier with this purchase to be quite honest, it's the ultimate stealth boost gauge and packs a ton of features!! An amazing lil bit of electronics for sure!!

Thanks again lossol!!!!

is there a trick to getting this thing more flush to the vent opening? In several screenshots i've seen of your installs and mine personally, it seems angled back some. I noticed on the product page that the demo version doesnt have that issue.

I'm wondering if there is a better way to seat this thing in the vent?

Mine is definitely angled back a little too much for my liking. It is still easy to read, just doesn't seem like it's angled at the driver. Personally I think it would look a lot better on the bottom of the vent instead of the top!!

Just looking at it again this morning and it seems like it's just not seating quite right. I'm going to take it apart this weekend and see if i can devise a way to seat it better.

Yah mine has a good 1/4 of an inch at the top where it doesn't sit flush.

Note how the top region is tucking under the vent. I would hope there is a way to pull it forward more. I'm going to work on it this weekend.

mine too. Doesn't bother me, but now that someone mentioned it, it is different than the flush fitting look on gtboostgauge.com.

seems like we are universally doing something wrong here. Maybe lossol can chime in and give us a hint on how he got it flush on the website.

I'm not so sure i'm doing anything different. I did notice two things: one - some of the vent louvers tend to sneak out and sometimes get in the way of the front piece of the vent, but when this is the case the clips do not fully engage, and is noticeable.

Look at the pics on this page:
http://www.wix.com/gaugetek/vbg1#!EVO X/c14yg

two - do you think it is a lighting thing, I noticed I took pictures with the flash and illuminated the small overhang at the top. It's hard for me to tell, but As long as the four main clips fully engage upon vent assembly I think it must be sitting flush against the front.

I tried everything to get it to sit flush without modding it, it just won't sit flush. I think a fix I may try is making the top 2 clips a little longer so it pushes the top of the face foward. Haven't thought about how to do it really but I think it will work.
