Front speakers do not fit

so I just bought kicker door speakers that are 6 1/2, but the holes do not match up. I have been searching for speaker brackets/adapters but cannot find any.. can someone help me?

There aren't any adapters that I know of.

You can do two things...

1) Tear the rings from the factory speakers
2) Use a 1/2" MDF ring and drill it into the door. This is what I did along with some foam for an awesome seal.

Just noticed, are you talking about an Evo X or 9/8? You posted in the X section but I see you have an Evo 8?

you can also try crutchfield. If it's an X, you can just cut the factory speaker out of the twist bracket and screw the new speaker into the bracket, and put the bracket back into the door.

as a last ditch effort, you can (on an X, idk about 8 or 9) mount the speakers to the surface of the door.

I had some JL audio C3's put in the front doors. Those were seriously big basket style enclosures that beat the wimpy stock rockford fosgate speakers inside from factory. Also had fitment issues. Also 6-1/2" size. The professional installer had to cut the hole slightly wider to fit in, alon with a baffle. It can be done.

You really don't need to cut holes... you can use a mdf ring quite easily, this makes it so you can put your stock speakers back in when you sell it.
