Finally got rid of the factory sound system!

I finally got my dash kit, head unit, speakers, amps, and sub the other day. So I decided to install it. I went the Metra dash kit despite all the bad hype about it. Personally I'm happy with the way it fit. My head unit is a Clarion NX602. It's amazing, very user friendly , loads everything quickly, navi works great, and looks nice. My speakers are Helix Esprit E62C components in all doors. The sub for now is a DB drive K3 12D4. The amp for the speakers is a DB drive A4 4200 and the amp for the sub is a DB drive A4 1800D. The sound is amazing, the speakers are crisp, clear, bassy and soooo loud. The sub isn't bad for a lower end sub, good bass and gets pretty low. Here's some pics:

You had me until the trunk. You lost a ton of space back there that you didnt need to. And the amp is mounted on the top of the trunk, so cooling may be an issue.

Here is what I ended up with:

The most important thing is that you enjoy it though, and it definitely sounds like you are doing that.

The sound quality is simply amazing. In my last car I had Focal PS 165's which are pretty bad *** speakers. These are just as good if not better as far as loudness and clarity. The tweeters in front and behind also makes a huge difference. Every little sound is picked up and heard.

The trunk is only temporary. I'm waiting for my JL W6 from crutchfield. It's gonna be mounted in a fiberglass enclosure where the spare is. But surprisingly the amp stays nice and cool, I mounted it up top because I hate the sight of wires lol.

I'll be taking out all the spare stuff so it should balance out I guess. For a good sounding system I feel it's worth it.

The trunk is fully dnyamatted, hardly any rattle at all.

Thats one of the two heads I am debating on getting... Its either the NX602 or the CZ702 (single din - but has time alignment and can be used to go active later if needed/wanted)

Head install looks good...
