Show your big tweeters (Giggidy Giggidy)

Bought Pioneer tS-D 1720c speakers and the tweeters are alot larger than the stockers. Could mount them in angled pods but probably going to cut out the stock housing and flush mount. Hole has to be 1 7/8". If anyone has installed larger tweeters in the stock location please post a picture.thanks

I cut the sail panel for the Alpine 1" angled pods (no pix - sry).

I actually prefer them angled towards the windshield (than OEM) for better sound stage.
Looks fine to me.

ya...pioneer and those big *** tweeters...cut and flush is a good idea. My buddy has some focal tweeters that i cut and flushed into the stock tweeter housing. looks and sounds good, just be careful not to scratch the silver part, it scratches easy and it shows

Those are pretty slick. I had the stock black ones and I just upgraded to the silver Rockord covers haha. I figured it would give a bigger silver accent to the whole interior. I like them so far but I did realize they tend to rattle a little. Anyone have advise or tweeter rattle? Not trying to steal your thread sorry.
-So I'm just saying i you go to something else you might have rattle.

Double check your clips and you can use 3m putty to kill rattles

No no, I really do do this stuff for a living. It's all structural urethane adhesives, then prime/coat/paint

Bondo is for metal if you want it to last. The tweet mounts need to be flexible without cracking and withstand 140 degree heat
