So skool me on why the stock Nav unit is so bad

Just curious what some of everyones complaints are with the stock Nav

No 3D view and simply the fact that it's basically the same unit since 2008 - 6 years for any piece of electronics is very very old. Imagine still using an iPhone 3G day to day

I hear that but does it still work as in giving directions to where you want to go? I never use Nav now so its not that big of a deal but would be kind of nice to have it just for normal gps
