08 steering wheel -> newer steering wheel (volume controls)

I hope the title summed it up. I have an 08 GSR with factory MMCS system. However the steering wheel was the old one without the volume controls and without the Bluetooth controls. I am able to buy a new steering wheel with those controls and install it with the use of these two control systems? I realize I would have to relocate my AYC controller as well, which I would think is a big deal. Please help.

I did the the swap with the steering wheel controls. It is not that hard. The evo's are wired with a can bus system. Meaning the wires are already there, do a search for steering controls there is a good DIY article. I ordered my parts from mitsubishiparts.net. I think I spent about $250 but I didn't add the Bluetooth.

did you swap the whole steering wheel or just add the buttons and relocate the AWC control?

yes, you should be able to use the "newer" steering wheel that you are buying with the Volume control.
