calling all electrical gurus, help needed

alright everyone need some help

So i'll give you the coles notes of the issue;

1) did a wire tuck which included shorting wires etc, all connections were made properly wire colour coding/solder/heat shrink

2) hooked up battery backwards

3) blew 120 amp fuseable link in positive terminal and killed old genesis battery

4) replaced fuseable link assembly

5) replaced battery

6) car turned assesory/on position battery reads 12.X volts via voltage gauage and Cobb AP, apon starting car voltage jumps to 15.6 volts and stays constant, charging system service required light comes on (obviously)

7) assumed alternator regulator failure, bench test alternator, alternator output = 14.4 volts

8) check engine wire harness alternator regulator wiring, 3 wires lead from regulator connector to ECM connector, 0 ohms resistance on all 3

a 4th wire goes from regulator connector to a 7.5amp fuse in the engine fuse box (not blown) then to fuseable link #36 (on positive terminal also not blown) couldn't get a resistance reading on this line (might just be the size of the probe)

9) no observed blown fuses in engine fuse box

auto electric shop suggested possibly a sence line may not be working... i'm all out of ideas

i'm all out of ideas

the dealership has a test unit that can easily track it down for you, I've done similar.
