Stage 1 EVO X Mapped by Tuning Technologies

The vehicle described here is a 2008 EVO X. The car has the following basic modifications and was mapped using EcuTEK and Tuning Tech ECUBoost Control.

Modifications: Stage 1
AMS FMIC
AMS Full IC piping
AMS Intake
Test pipe
Single tip CBE
Tuning Technologies Custom ECU Mapping

We couldn’t do a bone stock baseline on the car because it already had its mods installed upon arrival. We have had several stock X’s on the dyno and will be using one of those dyno graphs to compare the gains. I chose to use one of the higher hp and tq dyno graphs that a bone stock X made on our dyno.

The baseline and tuned vehicle weather conditions were as follows respectively:
92.47 Fahrenheit 13% humidity
93.48 Fahrenheit 19% humidity

Here is a breakdown of RPM’s ranging from 3200 to 7500 with corresponding results.

Horsepower

3200 +8.22 hp
3500 +22.59
4000 +42.39
4250 +46.22
4500 +57.46
5000 +47.72
5500 +48.02
6000 +58.61
6500 +54.11
7000 +44.84
7500 +49.23

Torque

3200 + 13.47 lbft
3500 + 34.98
4000 + 56.11
4250 + 56.66
4500 + 68.00
5000 + 49.53
5500 + 46.66
6000 + 51.92
6500 + 43.16
7000 + 34.51
7500 + 29.81

We have been experimenting with boost pills on the dual solenoid setup. Once everything is said and done we should be able to hold more boost at redline which translates into more power.
More coming soon.

Alfred

Peak boost was 24psi tapering down to 19 psi by redline. Once we get the boost system effectively sorted out we should be able to pull a little more mid and top end out of her.

I've been moderating the X forums here at EvoM for around 6 months, put lots of hours in, and have done nothing of the sort.

If you're talking about somewhere else, maybe you should air your issue there instead of hijacking this results thread in the X section.

I've heard some negative things about Tuning Technology, it may be just rumors.

Anyways,, I had pretty good experience with them, there were some minor issues, but nothing alarming.

Like any business, there are going to be a dissatisfied customers and all shops make MISTAKES.

Alfred is a good guy and he has a pretty descent operation going.
