It's always hard to estimate, although 20-25% driveline losses is what I've read in other places. Verifying this with your weight and trap speed in the quarter mile can help determine what that rough number may be. For me figuring 109 mph trap speed is about 8 mph over stock or +80 hp. Figure 291+80 HP and I could be ~370 HP at the crank at 26 PSI. I think there are several trap speed to crank HP conversion calculators floating around out there on the web based on vehicle weight. They might not be 100% accurate but it gives you a rough idea.

Of course our stock turbos can really only be pushed in the low to mid range for HP under the curve since they all taper to some extent above 5500 RPM's limiting peak HP quite a bit. Going for even 28 PSI really shoots the torque numbers up but peak HP usually stays the same or even drops if the hotter air starts to impact your FMIC efficiency too much.

What's with the nasty torque dip at 3800 rpm's? I've seen alot of tuned cars with curves that don't have that pronounced dip. The ECU must be doing some cutting back causing the dip /shrug

Here is my car with the same tune done by Pete @ Works. Have been very happy with it in drivability since the tune.

My guess is that it's just the stock ecu boost control system. Ecu overshoots (spike) on spoolup and then undershoots (dip) trying to hit the 'target load'.

I saw the same thing on my stock 05 VIII on the dyno.

Can anyone provide an update on how they like their Works Tune overall? Thanks!

Well here's why I had my works flash taken out. First problem I had was fluttering, couldn't figure it out. I called works an they said it's my AEM intake. The I started getting boost creeps to something crazy like 30psi, called Works never got a call back. They want me to set tp an appointment with Edo in LA so they can come down. I live in San Diego so schedule something like that is tough. So I decided to go with another tuner, someone close by. But to find out Works locks their ecu, putting my car into limp mode. Gave Works a call...never call me back. Had to pay Edo 90bucks to flash my car back to stock so it can be tuned(again). Don't get me wrong I was happy with my Work flash(except for the 2 problems) and also they were just too far for me especially when I have a problem.

A few months ago I took my X to Works and had them do a flash and a full tune+ Blitz drop in airfilter. Pete did a fantastic job on my car. Heres a dynograph you can see the before and after..

My car pulls so much harder now compared to when it was stock. Pulls all the way through and at the top. Before the powerband was very flat on peak power not anymore though..

I took my car to HB Speed for a dyno after getting flashed at EDO. Jon told me that my AFRs were a little jumpy. I've only been put into limp mode once so far
