I don't really understand why this would happen cruising down the road at 35mph.

I don't just want to jump into a DTC disable in my stock ROM yet, because I want to see if it does it again.

Is it more likely the P1241 caused the CHECK and ASC off, or more likely there was an ASC fault that threw the 1241 code?

Anyway, will update if/when I learn more.

Anyone with similar occurrences?
Yes .. P1241 causes the ASC .. disabling the P codes prevents the CEL .. but still trigger the ASC .. so don't bother disabling ..

Its low RPM. I've seen the disable DTC xml mod, but have not seen where to turn it off in Ecuflash.

I still get this code, about once every 3 months. not sure if i am just driving it differently or if it just isnt doing it but it seems to not happen that often. but i dont believe, at least in my case, that it is a leaky/bad BOV. my maf is after my BOV in my setup so even if it did leak it wouldnt matter the maf would never know the difference. i too am running a AP, what tables do we need to mess with to get rid of this issue? Torque Limit table? Air Flow? BOTH?

what did your log say?

like what rpm/load/psi were you hitting when the 1241 popped up?

Hey Tephra-

I haven't caught this in a log, its happened twice.

Here are the circumstances:

1) Cold weather <35 degrees Fahrenheit
2) Slight uphill
3) Mild throttle
4) Low boost (~4-5psi)
5) 2500-3500rpm range

What happens:
-DTC P1241, Service required, ASC off on dash
-Hard limp mode, where you must pull over, key off, wait about 10 seconds, then restart the car.

My mods are:
-Ultimate racing O2 downpipe, test pipe, cat-back, and upper intercooler pipe
-GST boost pill.

Shall I attempt to capture a log, and if so, what shall I log?
Or is there a timer value or something in the table that monitors torque I can tweak? I heard the DTC disable will only take away the CEL, not the limp, so I want to attack the problem at the root so I can drive my car.

Thanks!

The disable DTC's take away limp mode AND CEL.

limp isn't ASC.

DTC disable will get rid of limp more and not show the DTC

but sometimes you might hit the ASC limit and that will flash on the cluster... other than that no side affects...

Im getting the same issue with my 2009 ralliart, but when it goes into limp mode P1241 pops and P1870 which is tranny related, anyone have any issues with this? at first I removed my UR intake, and swapped it back to stock bc my MAF code kept going on, but once I did that it threw a code everytime I went above 3500RPM, so then I checked my Air limit tables and it wasnt high enough, so I changed that...then it was fine until a couple of days later, P1241, P1870 pops, and I go into Limp mode...

My tuner ran 100% duty cycle values for the WGDC maps, at all RPMS, so I changed that to GST values, and right now it has been 2 days and going good so far, for now

any ideas?

yeah we had that misconception also,

but disabling is just the codes, not the actual function ;(
