So I guess people need to turn down their MBC for the colder weather or in general.

Got Evo back, BUT........

I got my car back on Friday. The transfercase was the only failed part and was replaced as a unit. I believe I may have new issues though. The car will no longer boost over about 18 psi with the same mbc I was using before. Now I'm starting to think the AFR DID go too lean, and destroyed the turbo or wastegate. Don't know, as I'm new to the Evo, but the car runs like ****, has less power than stock with or without the Zchip installed. I'm sure the dealer would love to hear a complaint about lack of power.............

The dealer resets/reflashes the ECU and it runs like crap after a visit to the dealer. The same thing happened to capone when he took it in to get the oil changed. It returned to normal after the car relearned the fuel trims. A wastegate has nothing to do with AFR and turbo failure would be rare.

You need to put a wideband AFR meter on the car and it would tell you a lot, such as boost leaks etc.

Glad to hear that you figured out that your boost controller was hooked up wrong with the pills in the lines.
