oops

I went ahead and added the link to their website in the first post. They're a good bunch of guys, very knowledgable. They're located in Port Allen. I'll post some dyno sheets in the future. I wasn't really happy with my initial numbers.

Don't laugh

Well, like I said I wasn't really happy with my numbers. The car wasn't tuned by Corr they just ran the dyno. Another customers car ( Evo X GSR Stock ) was used as the baseline and dynoed at 221 hp. Mine got 266 hp, best run. I had my boost set at 20/21 psi in 4th, which now I'm understanding is too conservative. Most people with the chip are setting boost levels in 4th around 24/25 psi. There were a few other things I should have setup prior to the run, but I'm hoping to get back over to Corr in January and redeem myself.

thanks,
Chris

It sounds as if the boost was set about one psi short of a stock peak boost level.

+45whp at under stock boost levels is not bad at all

Here is an example of the ZChip at 25.5psi peak which is how the customer came in with. It was done with the off the shelf ZChip tune just like you have TurboGard. Head back out there when you have a chance and turn up the boost as you would with any other tune in the marketplace.

Here is a basemap on Michael's car from Virginia. With the boost turned up to 24-25psi as we recommended you to do, your results should be similar to Michaels.

So when I do this, I effectively loose WOT in 5th correct? At a setting of 24/25psi in 4th, I'll be boosting 27/28+ in 5th which is not recommended, correct? One more question, when you say "peak" 24 psi are we talking the peak sustained right? Not the initial sweep of my boost gauge? I realize these questions are getting redundant and irritating. I just want to make sure I don't break anything. I'm happy with the gains as they are at +45 hp .....of course I'd be REALLY happy with a little more.

Thanks TTP for the post,
Chris

Peak, not sustained. At 2500rpms when you floor it, it should peak 24-25psi and then taper down to about 16-17psi at redline.

Ok, I gotcha. Any comment on the 5th gear question?

Thanks,
Chris

you shouldn't it should be around the same... 4th and 5th should be around the same not 2-3 psi maybe 1psi

My question was based on what I see on my boost gauge currently. In either case, if 25 psi is the limit, if your boosting at 26+ psi in fifth, I would assume that's not recommended?

Thanks for the post,
Chris

it depends on the load is why you see more boost.
The higher the gear the more load you will likely see. For example, I see 17 psi in 1st, 20-21 in 2nd, 22 in 3rd, 23- in 4th and 5th. So if that makes a little sense.
