MBC boost peak settings for Evo X w/Zchip

I've seen a few threads on this topic and I've sent out a million emails but I'm still a little bit concerned about my boost controller settings and I want to make sure I'm not misunderstanding anything. I've got a Z chip, AGP intake and a boost controller on my Evo X. Most people seem to set their boost limit based on peak in 4th gear. Currently I've got mine set at a peak around 21/22 in 4th which I've been told can be increased to 24/25. When I'm in 5th I'm currently boosting at 24/25 which would put my boost at 27/28 if I increase the boost by 2/3 psi as specified. Is this a typical scenario for most Evo X owners running the Z chip? Please don't be offended if you see this post and have responded via emails or PM's. I just need a response from the masses that this is typical.

Set it to peak 24 psi in 4th gear if your RUNNING 93 oct. Just dont be flooring it in 5th as theres is more load and will cause the boost to go even higher..Hope this is of some help

I see said the blind man.

Yeah, I could do that. Is this how you have yours setup? Have you ever "Oops" in 5th? High 20's are just a scary thing for me to see. The only other boosted car I'm familiar with is my 88 Chrysler Conquest that had a stock boost of 8psi. I put a big 16G on it and got it up to 16psi which I thought was alot. Apparently not.

Thanks for the post,
Chris

Yea this is how mine is set, 24.xx in 4th at wot. Ive hit 26-27 once or twice by accident when im on the highway and ive floored it in 5th, im just cautious now. 24psi 93 oct is fine, should have no issues
