popping??

popping??

is it bad for the motor to pop??

when my car is cold it pops really bad at 15 PSI of boost but after it get wardem up it pops at my spike of 25 PSI boost

i got the INJEN intake and i heard from TTP thats its the intake so i was wondering it i took the filter off if it would fix the problem?? or do i have to get a whole new intake

that happened to me when i had my Evo IX until the motor got up to normal temp

my boost hits really fast in 2nd gear its always boosting in 2nd no matter how little throttle i use i always hit atleast 10 PSI

Get your first item in "parts still Wanted" section and this will reduce the backfiring from rich A/F.

We'll see you soon. Evil_Evo_VIII within this thread is actually custom tuned by us as well and he has no popping.

Turn down your boost to 18-19psi for maximum performance with an INJEN intake on an untuned car. Should clear up your misfires.

You will lose power and torque before that.

Also the ECU is programmed to remove ignition timing until the car is up to normal operating temps.

yeah thats true. but if i turn down my MBC jsut a hair i pop 15 PSI to red line. i cant get a happy medium

We're not talking about a hair, we are talking about turning it down from 25psi to 18psi.

no thats how it works on mine. if i turn it down a tiny bit i go from 23 to RL to 15 to RL

Then its possible that your MBC is hooked up backwards or something.
