Evo X RS rom Ecuflash help

Guys , I have just taken delivery of a Evo X RS delivered from Japan to our workshop in Adelaide , South Australia. I used my Openport 2.0 to pull the rom file from it today. However , I am not sure how to view it in Ecuflash.... I am not sure if there is even an XML for it in the latest version. The Evo X XML's arent labelled JDM, USDM etc etc. So I tried setting up a pathway to one of the XML's... but it was a USDM 6 speed version.

I have included an attachment of the rom I pulled today. Could some one point me in the right direction please.Actually, it seems as though I am limited in file sizes... Can I PM the file to anyone, or how else can I put it up ?

If there is a version XML suitable for my RS, how do I reverse the pathway so it picks up the right defintion.

Secondly, even trying to view a USDM rom in Ecuflash ( in developer mode), all it allows me to see is the ROM information window. There are now other tables listed. What have I done ? or what can I do to view the tables.

Cheers Mike

No you are possibly wrong. It was imported direct from Japan as an " un compliable" race only import. I cant register it for Australian roads. It only had 5km when delivered off the boat. The importer is a private Ralliart style dealer who has reflashed the ECU with what they call a 270kw tune. I wanted the stock only tune , but somewhere, somehow it was flashed..... However, the private Ralliart dealer from what I can tell has very strong Euro contacts ..... Have you got a definition I can use ? I appreciate your help !. Mike

+1.
I have roms with EDM 5MT GSR and with RS (which was bought in Japan in Rallyart and imported in Russia non-official (car with left-hand wheel)).
I can confirm - this 2 roms are completely identical.

I am NOT WRONG ..

ALL cars are manufactured in Japan .. the ROMs loaded are for that specific country .. YOU HAVE AN AUSDM RS .. which is the same as an EDM .. which is different from JDM RS ..

Your map is definitely modified .. I've only defined the fuel / ignition / mivec maps so far .. and yes I believe the claimed 270kW because I've seen fuel and boost alone on the 4B11 dynoed that amount totally stock on a JDM ..

Appreciate everyone to give me some time please !
I do have a day job and this week I'm particularly busy ..

Gunzo, thanks for that information. Could you list the essential differences between the JDM RS and the EDM RS. Is it mainly things like mivec settings and maybe a not so aggressive ignition timing ?

This EVO X RS will be used in circuit sprints, hillclimbs and tarmac rally. I am particularly keen to get a good XML as I will be running the RS on E85. I have had staggering results on our EVO8and 9. So I am keen to remap the X asap ! Well soon anyway as the car is about to be stripped for a rollcage.

Cheers Mike

Your WRONG! Pull your head in know it all.

You cannot go down to a Mitsubishi dealer here in Australia and get an RS, his car came through Team Mitsubishi Ralliart as a direct import from Japan via this workshop for him, and has nothing to do with AUSDM, or AUs Mits. What he has is a Japan RS, that had its ecu flashed by TMR to run in AUS conditions (fuel/sea level etc) and mapping with a sligthly advanced map for the 270kw tune.

His car is a JDM RS, but was remapped by TMR once it got here. Tat initial mapping is based on the AUSDM Evo X ECU. The mapping is equal to that of a ADM with the agressive tune on top.

By taking the ECU and flashing it to AUSDM specs it allowed TMR to then safely dial in their setting. It's a cautionary setting.

Capiche!

dude .. I AM NOT WRONG ..
GO READ WHAT I SAID .. HE HAS AN AUSDM ROM .. WHOEVER DID THAT to HIM if thats true WAS AN IDIOT .. so stop dreaming ..

you want to quote gray imports to me .. then you're plucking feathers out of thin air .. I can never win you .. but if I remember correctly .. Aussie law on gray imports cannot have brand new cars .. but then I'm not Aussie ..

go find something better to do and stop pissing me off .. you get the lemons of all the series ..

I'd start selling the car now if I have the standard AuSDM car .. its no where near what a standard evo can do ..

To the OP .. I'll PM you when I'm done .. I'm done with this thread ..

Okay to end this I actually got brave and went out to do some tests on my own car.

My car is a JDM GSR 5MT and I actually just got done flashing my car with an AUSDM ROM and guess what? My car started

So to conclude this little arguement, the vehicle probably was a JDM RS. Once it arrived in Aussie, TMR flashed it with an AUSDM ROM based tune. So this is why when gunzo saw the ROM it was a AUSDM spec ROM with some tuning.

Now please let gunzo finish what he was doing

Guys, lets not get too heated. I started this thread looking for information on the ROM I pulled from "an EVO X RS". I dont particularly care if it has an AUSDM, JDM or EDM rom. What I want to know is if an XML exists for it so that I can check out the mapping.

Now this EVO X RS WILL be running on E85. So the thread sort of has to get back on track..... I want to be able to alter the tune so I can run E85.

It appears as if it has an AUSDM rom ?? And this is the same as a EDM ??
So to reiterate, what are the main differences between a JDM rom and the AUSDM rom? And which XML do I use ?

Guys like Gunzo and MrFred are way ahead of my skills in disassembly and XML construction, and I really appreciate their tech input !

Cheers Mike
