You won't feel as much of a gain without an mbc/raising boost...but you should defenately feel an extra punch. I would double check the "tack wire" connection. Good luck. So far I'm happy with mine, even though I had hell with it at 1st.

will check the wires... do i have to cut the red/white wire cover? i didnt like the wires connector very cheap quality
What is your base map like? Mine was -1 to -19 in the latter half of the cells and I measured no gain. I was told I needed the MBC but never found out what the base map was actually designed for (i.e. what increase in psi).
However, the chip *does* work - you just may need to modify your map and/or add an MBC. I am at high altitude (5000ft) and I am now at 280whp with a custom map and MBC set to +2.5psi (total 24psi peak boost).
I would check that you can see the load cells and RPMs changing in the ZChip tuner software.

I don't have an exact pic of where i have it mounted to, but I actually found the perfect spot for it
Here's the only pic I have. All I did was use some Velcro to mounted it to the bottom of airbox/directly underneath the MAF pipe. Worked the best for me because it's completely out of view and it also hides all of those wires. Keep it stealth
Hope that helps.

i'll add MBC but first i have to install the boost gauge which i did not know how!!
the problem is in my city we do not have japanese tuning garages.. mostly german and american.... so i need to drive about 80 miles to get to the nearest Evo performance shop....

mine is mounted @ the top of the airbox with 3M...looks ugly! i'll try your way

thanx again
No, no support for GCC Evos in the near future

TTP r we missing something???
why take it to a shop when you can do it yourself
I had never installed a boost gauge, but thanks to this write-up by ZWingerRyRy: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...lean-hell.html
I was able to do it on my own. Worked out pretty well for me, you should also give it a try. Could save you some $$$ and a long drive

i went about a week before I put my mbc on and there was a differnce, night and day.
double check all your connections, proably hooked it up to the wrong red and white cable for rpm, there is 2 that kinda fit that description

anyway i have to visit the shop to install the springs and do a dyno
TTP didnt mention that!!
There is only one wire that is mostly white with a thin red stripe, so don't worry. This is the wire you tap in for the rpm signal - it is actually the power transistor for ignition coil 1. Ignore other wires that are mostly red.
Have you installed the ZChip tuning software and connected it to a laptop yet? This is essential to check if you have connected to the correct ECU wire for rpm. BTW, the posi-tap connector should give you an excellent connection.
ZChip tuner software is here: http://www.zeitronix.com/zdl/z_chip_software.htm
The claim of 50whp at sea level is possibly only true if you requested this map from TTP. What map did you request - did you say you were going to install any other mods such as a MBC?

i got this

I did not connect the tuning software yet... where do i connect it?
yes i said i have hks exhaust and i ordered MBC from them too.... it is possible they tuned zchip to work with MBC only!!
EDIT: software installed, cable included in the box, now where do i connect it?
