Review of Vishnu Evo X MR Tune
x2
elpoole, have you noticed clunky shifts from 2nd-to-1st shift as you're coming to a stop? I've only really noticed rough shifting when the car was just started until the car has been running for a couple of minutes and that's only in the low gears, too.

how could they modify the sst from the ecu? I thought it was a seprate computer that Controled it. From what I herd there was no way of modyifing the sst, if they did it would be the first to date that I herd of!

Should I send in my ECU?
I'm very tempted to send in my ecu, but I live half way across the wold in the United Arab Emirates. 2 things that are keeping me away from doing this:
1. The hot climate. Temps are over 100 for more than 3 months our of the year. Temps in the winter here are mid 70s. Not sure if the sst can handle 360-380BHP in this heat.
2. Sending my ecu and not being able to get any face to face feedback. That can be scary if things go wrong.
Whats pushing me to do it is the price and the promised power. The Ecutec guys here dont promise more than 340bhp on a stock evo and the cheapest price is $1,000.

I contacted vishnu and they said they would reprogram my ecu if I sent it in.

5,000 from Al Habtoor (Steve does this tune)
5,000 from Sams Garage
3,500 from a guy named Khalid in Abu Dhabi. He has Japanese trained staff. He is highly recommended by Stuart from Ralliart
Some guy in Oman offered to come to Al Ain and do it for 1,500. Im sure its not ecutec, but Ide love to find our what software he is using.
I think Im gona go with either Tensai or Mellon Tuning online (recommended by someone on this forum). I saw one of Tensais SSTs last week at the AD Barbican show. It was very nice.
I have a friend who has an evo 9. He comes down here on Friday Mornings and we have alot of fun comparing rides and driving up Hafeet Mountain. You are more than welcome to join us sometime.

Totally agree. I've tried several other "quality" ECU flashes and have concluded that Vishnu is BY FAR the best! No one else spends one whole year developing a tune before releasing it to the public!
