Review of Vishnu Evo X MR Tune

Just so I don't disappoint you guys...I don't have dyno results yet (I don't live near a dyno)...

...anyways, here's my review of the ECU tune I just got back from Vishnu for my X MR:

Mods:
- AEM Intake Filter & Box
- Ultimate Racing 3" Catback & test pipe

I have a IX MR (tuned by Vishnu) and now a X MR. The IX MR tuning was amazing and the X MR tuning does not disappoint. I definitely feel ~40-50whp gain throughout the power band, especially in the higher revs (keep in mind I've already gained ~30hp with just the hardware mods). The boost and power start much sooner than before the tune (around 3krpm) and it pulls hard all the way to redline (it doesn't let up). So in terms of power, I give it two thumbs up!

The SST for me is the biggest surprise. The Vishnu tune includes a remapped SST and wow does it feel good! The shifts are smoother in any mode. This is espeially noticeable in the downshifts. The best part is: No more clunky 2nd-to-1st shift as you're coming to a stop! Yay! That was probably one of the most annoying things about this care before the tune.

Doing an SST launch also feels much smoother and quicker now, so overall I'm very impressed.

I decided to wait for Vishnu rather than going with another company because of the great experience I've had with my IX MR. I have over 50,000 miles on my IX now with the tune and have had zero problems. That is unheard of in the car modding world.

Thanks Shiv!

P.S. I am planning to take a trip to a dyno soon, so I'll post numbers when I have them!

Well this would def not be the best, a custom tune from one of our great sponsors would be better.

Totally agree. I've tried several other "quality" ECU flashes and have concluded that Vishnu is BY FAR the best! No one else spends one whole year developing a tune before releasing it to the public!

Thanks for all the comments!

For sure. I've gotten several custom tunes from Shiv, driving down from WA.

Once you know, you know.

Yes, I'd like to know what the SST tune adjusts as well.
