Hard reset

A hard reset is a hard reset, if you do a reset where you shut the car off and turn it back on, the ECU is reset... However, if you are smelling fuel in the cabin then there are other issues at play here. You could have a boost leak which would make you run very rich and could contribute to a strong fuel smell. You could have a fuel leak which could cause all kinds of fueling and performance issues, not to mention a fire. I would pop your head under the hood and poke around a bit, look for loose connections, broken or damaged vacuum lines and a fuel leak.

If you can't chase down a Honda in a straight line (i.e. huge loss in power) and a strong fuel smell, you have a mechanical, and not a tuning issue.

i checked around today and i saw no fuel leaks anywhere... or gas smell in engine bay... also today there was no gas smell in the cabin. Maybe it has to do with temperature outside? Yesterday was in the mid 90s and i was driving around all day. Today was lower 80s to 70s tonight and no smell at all...

4th gear feels dead, 3rd is semi quick, 1st and 2nd is fast but the last few days with the heatwave it felt slower.

I have the COBB AP w/ Stg.1 map and a turn up wastegate, the car definitely feels quick hot or cold. But it definitely feels a bit stronger at night, especially with the cooler air.

Upgrading the intercooler would help combat the heat soak effect in the summer heat.

Dude go back with your stuck air filter!
The map from perrin only designed for stuck air filter not drop in or any air intake!
It cause over boost and say bye bye to your evo!

Have you downloaded the latest AP firmware update? The boost column heading should read "Rel. Pressure (PSI)". Yours reads "Boost Pressure" and the values are not vacuum / PSI readings.

Start with updating your AccessPORT so you read the correct data. Replace your filter with the stock one, flash back the COBB map and log a run or two.

By chance, when you fueled the car, did you completely top off the tank; e.g. fuel spilling out of the fuel filler neck?

Heat definitely has an effect, I loose ~20+awhp over a degree change from 30F->70F. Also, you really should have some type of boost monitoring device as well, it will help a lot in diagnosis. Good luck!
