Here's a quick fix....

Step 1, Take car to hyundai dealership
Step 2, Test drive hyundai accel
Step 3, get back into evo and drive home.....

PRESTO! feels fast again!

my cars got a hell of a lot more mods than that plus a tune and in hot weather it felt like my rx8 before i turbo'd it. =) -1 for hot weather.

I'm behind my friends' Supra single turbo, Mazda Speed3, and RSX Type-S and we're cruising. The Acura and me go a different route and he accelerates ~70ish to pass an 18-wheeler, as do i... and i'm barely keeping up...

Everyone who gets in my car tells me that the car feels slow after 3rd, and even that's not impressive.

The car is Cobb AP Stage1 w/ Perrin map and a HKS Drop-in filter. No idea... i really need to get a boost gauge to see if i'm actually hitting the right boost.
Have it tuned on a dyno. The power on my X was really flat on top, no power. After getting it tuned it pulls all the way up to redline now..

Yeah i guess i'll have to crack the wallet open soon...

also weird things happened since yesterday.... i smell constant gasoline in my car. It's been in the 90's today and i had all the windows down while cruising but to smell gas while driving?

As i said in original post, the car has NO ***** at all after 60 mph... i think a 6 cyl mustang is faster...

i guess i'll be ordering my tbe, fmic, and i/c piping soon...

i had a problem not to long a go trying to keep up with a friend civic. i was in 5th and i felt like it wouldnt go any further and the sad thing was we were going to curve on the freeway and i still couldnt catch up until the straights. could it be the asc? limiting fuel when ever it feels like it?

pull your negative battery cable. step on the brake 3 times, reconnect your battery. drive the car. its a full reset. your car has probably learned the conditions, and de-tuned itself a bit. it will feel better after a hard reset.

Why not log the run and analyze the data. You will see if the car is making full boost or if there's any KR. You can reset the ECU without having to disconnect the battery. The COBB AP has this feature to reset any "learned" condition. Without performing an analysis, you are only guessing.

the cobb ap's ability to reset learned parameters is not the same as a hard reset as described above. the ecu still retains a lot of info. i believe you have to relearn idling and recalibrate the throttle position sensor with a hard reset.

correct me if i am wrong.
