I currently have a COBB AP w/ stage 1 Perrin map. My question is if I were to go to a tuner that uses ECUFLASH, would the new map overwrite my cobb map? And would I be able to use my AP to change the ECUFLASH map back to stock map? Or would I need a tactrix cable to take out the custom tuned map and put a stock one in?

 

i am going to guess and say probably the second one. the file type that go on the AP are .ptm. I haven't been able to put hex files on the AP. I don't know what the file type for ecuflash is though.

would the tuner be willing to use the accesstuner race so you can continue to use your AP?

if you get a custom tune you'll most likely want to run that most if not all the time. uninstalling the AP will take away all its other functions like data monitoring and performance measuring tools.
