Opinions wanted, Where to get tuned?
Send a PM to the guys who have had their car tuned by DG Motors. Get their opinions on how the car feels, how the guys at DG Motors conduct business, etc, etc.
That will help you tremendously in making a decision.

I cannot say a bad word about CBRD or DG Motors but I can speak on our own behalf. One thing I will mention is that we have been tuning cars for years, and probably have more experience than anybody with the EVO X platform as we had the ecuteck licenses very early in the game.
We tune EVO X's every week, accessport, ecuteck, MR, GSR, all different kinds of mods and mod combination and I don't believe you will find an unhappy customer on this forum. Draw your own conclusions from the other posts in this thread and the other reviews out there.
Feel free to call or email me at sales@iveytune.com with any questions, one thing I promise is that if you do come here everything will be done right!

Anyone through our facility can tell you a few things:
1. Positive Experience: We treat everyone like family and walk you through step by step on what work is being done to your vehicle and how.
2. We will go above and beyond your expectations: Excellent customer service is a guarantee.
Although our facility may not be as nice and flashy as CBRD, We do maintain and keep our shop as clean as we can at all times.
We are honest people that do honest work.
We will also walk you through the tune, keep you updated pull by pull on what we are changing and what is going on. There will never be any questioning on "is my car running how it should?" "Is my tune safe?" etc etc...
We can setup appointments on Saturdays and Sundays to convenient you as well.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us direct or drop us a PM!

We also just finished up an evo x with some of the mods you listed which helped contribute to us breaking our own stock turbo record on our dyno. The ams catback/upper pipe/ and intake makes solid power!

You honestly can not go wrong with either shop, I have full faith Chad will do just as good a job tuning your vehicle as well!

After saving my pennies for the past couple months, and getting all my parts together, Im finally ready to get my x tuned. I have narrowed down my shop search to CBRD Speedfactory and DG motors. I would love to hear any feedback on each shop and some opinions on which would ultimately be the better decision.
I have monitored reviews and dyno threads on here extensively over the past few months, but after hearing positive things about each shop im having trouble making up my mind. I would love some friendly advice and insight from fellow members on Evom.
My mods are:
I have heard nothing but positive feedback from each place. Both shops use ecuflash, and both shops are about the same price. While DG is closer, CBRD has a nicer facility and is established as a respectable Evo tuner. DG has done great work in the last couple months, but does not have the longterm reputation of CBRD.
Please let me know if i am mistaken in any of my points listed above. Thank you in advance for the help guys, can't wait to have this thing put on the rollers and pick up some extra hp.

My mods are:
- AMS short ram
- Ams Twin Tip Exhaust
- Ams Test Pipe
- Nisei UICP (being ordered)
- and i will be tuned using ecu controlled boost on 25 psi.

I was tuned by a big name shop in Conneticut making the drive from long island to get there. At the time I didnt know about DG motors. After putting down only 285whp and 310 wtq with my evo ix (intake, tbe, i/c pipes) I was really unsatisfied. The car didnt run that strong, the people there didnt seem to care, I was just another customer.
I first went to DG to get my clutch done. Pete did excellent work and didnt miss one detail. Not only did he do that clutch he fixed some other problems with my car without me asking and with out any extra charge. He found numerous boost leaks along with some other things. Overall the car ran night and day after leaving the shop that day.
After that I went down to a dyno day at DG and Pete hooked my car up to the dyno. After some road tuning the car put down about 250 whp on his dyno. Im assuming it would have been lower before some of the changes. He took about 2 hours with my car making sure it was all done right. In the end he got about 280+ whp and 350 wtq on the low reading dyno with no other mod changes.
Its not only that they do great work but he really takes pride in every car as if it was his own. No detail will be left aside. You cant go wrong. Not to mention prices that cant be beat. I'm sure CBRD is great also but you cant go wrong with Pete at DG motors. Plus the fact its so local is great(not sure where you are in NY) Even if I had to drive several hours I would still go there. Good luck!

I dynod this weekend at DGmotors and can't say anything wrong with the way I was treated. I did not know them from a hole in the wall just decided to give them a shot from word of mouth. pete and his team treated me like I was at home and knew them for years. I got a chance to see both his shop cars and even go for a ride in one
My car was running so terrible with the stock tune and they managed to get incredible hp out of it with minor mods which I was amazed! One thing I can not argue is the price for his service is so affordable and understands the customer well. This will be my 12th car and I been to numerous amount of tuners and so far I like the customer service. I think my numbers and the way my car drives will speak alot for the smile on my face! Give them a shot you want regret it! The shop was clean and they answered all my questions....it seems like they enjoy what they do and deserve to be recognized as one of the best shops! Anyway here is the dyno and give them a call set something up....Please understand that this is like a mustang dyno reads very low! On a dynojet it should be around 350hp maybe more! All I have is a tbe and a k&n cone filter..thanks.

Gains:
+100whp/100wtq @ 4,100rpm
+120whp/120wtq @ 5,252rpm
+170whp/130wtq @ 7,000rpm!

You have many to consider , I always tell people to find a tuner they can relate with and that makes things a bit better . On a side note all our customers form your area are sent to DG and so far ALL we've sent there are very happy with their results .
Waste of money.....Cobb can keep it! hehhe...just listen to the customers they can't steer you wrong because they go by their experience. Any shop can tell you what you want to hear. The distance also helps a great deal. I can give two ****s what his place looks like or what free stickers they give me....just tune my freaking car! Now if I have problems somewhere you will never hear from me again! All tuners deal with the same setups pretty much everyday but some take more care and consideration on your vehicle...
