Opinions wanted, Where to get tuned?
After saving my pennies for the past couple months, and getting all my parts together, Im finally ready to get my x tuned. I have narrowed down my shop search to CBRD Speedfactory and DG motors. I would love to hear any feedback on each shop and some opinions on which would ultimately be the better decision.
I have monitored reviews and dyno threads on here extensively over the past few months, but after hearing positive things about each shop im having trouble making up my mind. I would love some friendly advice and insight from fellow members on Evom.
My mods are:
I have heard nothing but positive feedback from each place. Both shops use ecuflash, and both shops are about the same price. While DG is closer, CBRD has a nicer facility and is established as a respectable Evo tuner. DG has done great work in the last couple months, but does not have the longterm reputation of CBRD.
Please let me know if i am mistaken in any of my points listed above. Thank you in advance for the help guys, can't wait to have this thing put on the rollers and pick up some extra hp.

My mods are:
- AMS short ram
- Ams Twin Tip Exhaust
- Ams Test Pipe
- Nisei UICP (being ordered)
- and i will be tuned using ecu controlled boost on 25 psi.

My feedback may not count being on the other coast but I have heard nothing but great things about CBRD Speedfactory and as you stated, they are an established Evo tuner.
Unfortunately I have no context regarding DG Motors. Best of luck on your decision.

People will recommend tuners that they've been to or have heard good things about. I think you should really do the research and decide for yourself. Just curious, why is Ivey not an option?
I was going to go to him but after CBRD worked out all the ecuflash bugs, i didnt see the reason to spend 300 dollars more. Ecutek is nice cause it has its own logger, but now that evoscan is out, Ecuflash seems just as effective.
Ivey Tune in Linden, NJ. Search around and read about some of the work Sean's done.

But as for CBRD vs. DG Motors... I haven't heard much about DG Motors or the work they do, but I've been impressed with some of their talk regarding customer service.
I was at CBRD's dyno day a couple of months ago and Chad's shop was nothing short of impressive. I'd feel comfortable going to either, but I really think you should re-consider Ivey. His work is amazing and the car will run near perfectly.

If you are close to Sean Ivey it shouldn't even be a question... a 200 dollar license is a small price to pay for a world class tune. (the 200 dollar license is a one time fee.... if you ever need a re-tune for new mods you will not have to pay this again....) Look at the 200 as an investment.
