My logs seem to max out at 33.1* IIRC
Oh wait are you referring to absolute position, or degrees of advance?

My experience with running the hi boost mivec changes is I had to add a bunch of fuel between 1500-3000 RPM and 70%-140% load. I like my spool to be in the 12.5 afr range and I had to add 20%+ fuel to get there. Any comments?

Haha I feel like an idiot now I guess I should learn to read a little bit better. I wish that Mivec was more like Vanos lol.

Or that Mitsu would make cams like my BMW had hollow them out.

sstevojr - I think you are talking about the gears. BerserkerX seems to be talking about the cams themselves. I believe Mitsubishi advertised that the IX cams were hollow, but I've never broken a set to see and haven't seen the same advertising for the X. It is to reduce rotating mass for all of the normal reasons.

I am currently running a modified stock rom in my 2008 Mr, the rom is basically stock with the exception of slight timing/mivec/afr tweaks and mode 23 and rear disable O2. I simply copied these mivec maps over my own. Drove great under 50% throttle felt extremely peppy. However when trying to make a pull it is strong untill 5-6k then throws a check cel light and then acts strange like when the tranny is in limp mode. Has anyone else with an sst experienced this? Im thinking it has something to with a torque limiter or something along those lines.

Most likely exceeding airflow and/or torque limits - search for the DTC disable thread and disable these codes, for example P1235.

This thred needs to come back to life! Great stuff

I started messing with timing and mivec recently. This stuff is fun once you get a hang of it. All the graphs and tables were hard to understand at first but then it all seems to click with enough studying and reading infop online
